All I can say is that, I am sooo glad that I don't live in Japan...

Naively attached to those finger joints, huh?

Do Korean parents threaten their little children by sending them to bed, grown children by sending them to Japan? Or Canada, eh? Geographical discipline, it's an idea whose time has come, now that monarchs don't use the sentence of exile very often.

Korea was, and perhaps still is, corrupted to the bone. My parents knew how to bribe the landlord of the building to get a preferable lease terms for their store in Canada - all thanks to their experience from Korea! I have no clue how to bribe because I automatically assume that the other business person will do the right thing. Either I am naive or I am such a straight arrow. Perhaps it's time for me to learn how to bribe and cheat my way up.

I thought that Japan was ahead of Korea in terms of moral and ethical development in modern economic context (because they had a 100 year early start), but oh boy this new information makes me wonder... I mean we had no problem getting x-rays to go get second opinions from other doctors when I was hospitalized in Korea.
