Ever since Robert J. Avrech let Hollywood have it (Help! I'm a Hollywood Republican), we've followed his weblog, Seraphic Secret. As well as a scriptwriter, he is a publisher of adventurous books on Orthodox Jewish themes, and so, thankfully, not dependent on the Hollywood culture.

His preview of Migdal David, a "cartoon memoir" by Neil Kleid, promises both an interesting art form and a cultural / emotional exploit.

The graphic novel is a format that will accomodate many stories. This one, if it is as honest as it has begun, will be worthwhile.
