Possible Brief Hiatus

July 7, 2005
Because our intelligentsia-laden staff have already lagged a bit in their duties of impeccably-daily filling the Good&Happy Feeding Station for the Select Audience, your response may resemble that of Dorothy Parker to the news that the legendarily laconic Calvin Coolidge had died.

How could they tell?

Nonethess, it seems only friendly to report that we will be away on a research trip to a major American city over the weekend, returning to our very own cozy&familiar worn keyboard on or about Monday July 11. Thanking the Powers that Be for the merciful phenomenon of nonstop flights to various destinations.

Readers are invited to submit their usual insightful comments at an accelerated pace, to create the appearance of life and to welcome the Chez back into its beehive of Monday activity.

If you care. And have time. And think of it.

And the inner circle with the phone numbers can most likely reach Sr. Dilys throughout the weekend, though it is requested that Lance's most thrilling moments on the Tour de France be treated with reverent reticence.

Dilys' lair is in reconstruction upheaval, The Vapors being suffered at most hours of the day and night.  Penance indeed. Greetings to all, little posting the next while (or the last while, for that matter.)
