Sometimes in the public sphere we can watch a person come into his own. Moral and professional. Never finally give up on anyone.

With the Fall of Man -- whatever happened, whatever that means -- that integrity was badly, sadly, fatally compromised. But not lost. The trajectory can be interrupted, from the inside.

There are no short cuts. We love the film Karacter.

And Sr. Dilys (gracias señor!) recently obtained the DVD of Persuasion. Character, patience, hope. All intertwined to produce joy. Not least to the spectators. Goodness and happiness, lurking in proximity in a neighborhood, even on a basketball court, near you.

Some hoops are worth jumping through.
